As I was reading this, I found myself thinking virtually every person I know has been involved in some variation of this friend estrangement - and ever more so with the popularization of “ghosting.” So great that people at least now have a knowing, supportive voice to turn to at Dear Estranged.
Dumping relatives & friends on a whim or due to selfishness is the new trend. My parents & grandparents had friends for 50-70 years. These relationship-destroyers do so much collateral damage.
