Hard to know without more details to n the family system. My first thought would be family enmeshment leading her to look for time and space to grow into herself.
What about an only child? I have an estranged adult daughter for 7 years now. What “role” is there for only children?
All of them often interchangeably, sometimes multiple at once, depending on what role the family system needs the child to play at the time.
